NIGHT 1: HANOI – NIGHT TRAIN TO LAO CAI

In the evening

At 09:00 pm, our guide and driver will pick you up at the hotel then transfer to the station for a night train leading to Sapa. The train leaves at 22.00 from Hanoi railway station.

DAY 1: LAO CAI – BAC HA MARKET – SAPA

In the morning:

  • At 6:00 am, you will be met by local guide and driver upon your arrival at Lao Cai station then transferred to a local restaurant for breakfast (optional).
  • Then start our drive to Bac Ha town. The road is relatively flat from Lao Cai to Bao Nhai bridge.
  • After crossing the bridge, we begin our journey up to Bac Ha having beautiful views over the valleys. Bac Ha market, located in the heart of Bac ha small town is the largest one in the area. Every Sunday, the different and colorful ethnic minority come all here to sell their homemade products or buy something for the family. They are Hmong, Phu La, Back Dzao, Tay or Nung minorities.

Lunch time: 12:30 – 13:30 in a local restaurant

In the afternoon

  • We drive downhill towards Lao Cai for about half an hour. We stop on the way (before reaching Lao Cai) to take a short walk to Trung Do village inhabited by Tay people. Tay villages are always set up at the foot of a mountain or along a stream and are named after a mountain, a field, or a river. Each village contains about 15-20 households. A large village is divided into many small hamlets. The houses are built on stilts or level with the ground.
  • Stop by a traditional Tay house for a cup of tea before taking a boat cruise upstream the Chay River. The scenery is very beautiful on both sides of the river.
  • The boat trip will end at Coc Ly where your vehicle will be waiting for you for the journey back to Lao Cai. End of tour.

DAY 2: SAPA – LAO CHAI – TA VAN – GIANG TA CHAI – NIGHT TRAIN TO HANOI

In the morning

  • At 8:00 am, after having breakfast, you will meet up with your driver and guide. Let’s begin the second day in Sapa
  • The first destination is Lao Chai village, which lies in the valley. Both its sides are the Hoang Lien Son mountain range and grandeur Ham Rong Mountain. The village is surrounded by rice terraces which connect Lao Chai to mountains to soak up the clouds in the sky.
  • Next, you will visit Muong Hoa valley – one of the most famous destinations for breathtaking scenery and is the largest farmland for rice growing in Sapa, spreading over 4 kilometers length, 2 kilometers width with at least 159 stone.
  • Then, we will go trekking from here to Ta Van Village where the Red Dzao and Dzay people are settling down. The road leads to Ta Van village that is small and narrow. Along two sides has a fertile terraced field which adorns by the green of corn and rice (it depends on season).

Lunch time: 12:30 – 13:30 in a local family and enjoy a simple lunch that brings new tastes

In the afternoon

After saving your energy with lunch, let’s get ready for upcoming sightseeing this afternoon

  • Go on visiting the Red Dzao in Giang Ta Chai village which lies silently by a majestic waterfall and was hidden by old trees and bamboo groves.
  • At 05:00 p.m, you will be transferred back to Lao Cai railways station for your night train back to Hanoi. You may have your own dinner in a local restaurant around that area.

DAY 3: HANOI ARRIVAL IN EARLY MORNING
